Although Korea has several weapon systems, it takes a lot of work to keep tanks and aircraft operational. They just don't have the money, the training and the parts to keep their inventory up. For instance if you didn't lube the older generation tanks up every day and run them, the tanks would seize up.
Some of the old jet aircraft have to be worked on for like 3 hours for every hour they are in the air. If they don't do that, the chance of massive failure greatly goes up for each use (you just can't pull over to change a dirty fuel filter).
They might have a lot of numbers, but most of them are probably just statues now.
Don't be surprised to see that their working airforce is piston driven WWII era aircraft.

I agree with gregory. The PDRK is unlikely to have more than a few helicopters in airworthy condition at any given time. They have enough trouble trying to get their MIG pilots a few hours flight time each month, a helo is even more of a maintenance headache.

anything that you'd find in the Chinese inventory I suspect you'd find in North Korea. More than likey you'd find a Chinese version of the Soviet "Hind-D" gunship and the "Hip" general purpose helo.
Check out a website named "janes" (not sure of the total name) they have the inventory of just about every nation weapons systems there.
Good luck.
