I have had 3 kids, and after everyone it was all different when I got my period back. I asked the doctor about it and he said that it takes a womans body up to 18months to get back into pre-pregnacy state and that it is COMPLETELY normal to not have your period for that length of time. Also I guess on the other spectrom, its normal to have your period for a couple months straight!!! Be glad its this way and not the other. Its normal.. really :)

Well you had the BC patch on for a month? then took it off. No period for a few days. so far. I wouldn't worry about it because stress can cause your period to be delayed also. Unless you have spent all your time on your back since you've had your baby I wouldn't sweat it unless you don't have a period next month. Then take another preg test and go from there.

hey, sam read the question properly, she gave birth 6months ago, women who breastfeed dont actually get periods, etc etc etc. getting back to the question. After not having it for so long, your body is at the moment confused as to what to do its unsure about itself, therefore you should give it time like another 2weeks to know if you are or not because rememer you can get your period and still be pregnant too. Also look for the obvious normal "am i pregnant?" signs like the throwing up and nausea but nothing beats the test.

Are you breastfeeding. If you are, that changes alot of your chemistry. You almost dont need that much BC, but they will prescribe you a low dose. The patch could also be stopping your period, causing you to just spot, its all normal, contact your OBGYN, for sure, but this is normal.

You haven't had a period in 6 months and you're just now worrying? Go to the doctor and find out what's going on.

i always thought that even if you are spotting you should consider it a period...
also its your first period on the patch right so maybe that's why?

maybe so you should see your dr. to get a blood test done to be for sure but you need to find out why you arent having your monthly cycle that is very important for a woman to get rid of that waste
