If you consume alcoholic beverages, it's important to know whether your drinking patterns are safe, risky or harmful.

One drink is defined as 12 ounces of beer, 5 ounces of wine, or one standard cocktail(1.5 ounces of 80-proof liquor).

The best idea I have for you is that since your drinking 2 bottles of wine a night go to AA meetings and get a support group. You are on your way to recovery already and don't even know it. Just by admitting to yourself and others that you have a problem. Good luck.

Yes but will power is needed.
It takes about ten hours for the blood to half the quantity of alcohol so if you had 2 bottles for each ten hours without drinking it will take 2>1 + 1>0.5 + 0.5>0.25 +0.25> 0.125 + 0.125> 0.062 + 0.062> 0.032 + 0.032> 0.016.
So about 3-4 days to clear your blood.
You will suffer sweating and itching for a few days each step but allow five days between the steps before reducing to the next step.
What are the steps.
In the same way as above but this time allow five days between each reduction, lower your intake by half each time.
When you are finished it will then take three weeks for the physical desire to drink leave you and three months before you can live without thinking about it everyday.
This type of experience is the same for any initial quantity.
In the end it will ruin your life if you keep on as you well know. It now takes 2 bottles to feel satisfied where before is was 1.
This kind of need carries on until your skin breaks down and bleeds. Your arms will be covered with blood pores
I could see my friends getting like this so I stopped this type of drinking before I even got to one bottle of wine.
It was awful watching them drink their bodies to death
Good luck and you can do it.

I would ask....What is the reason? Are you suffering some loss? There has to be some kind of underlying problem! I'm not trying to sound like a shrink but I know from experience that you have to deal with what is inside before you can fix the side effects!

I'm giving up Diet Coke. I've switched to water. Join me - have a glass of water instead. It's not too bad. I'm only a social drinker now - drink Diet Coke only when I'm out and about.
Seriously, Diet Coke is very habit forming and very bad for you.

1. Stop buying alcoholic beverages.
2. Get help from a support group or 12-step program.
3. Enroll yourself in counseling.
