Since you asked what is THE difference, and not what are the differences, I will say that the difference is JESUS CHRIST.
In short, Christians believe that Jesus is God, the second person of the triune God. Muslims deny the deity of Christ. Muslims even deny the historicity of the crucifixion of Christ.
So based on the above, Christians and Muslims CANNOT be worshipping the same God. This is a logical conclusion.

The difference between Christianity and Islam is as follows: Christianity speaks about human salvation - namely, that at the end of the story, when the world becomes a better place, every single person in the world can be saved from his sins, while Islam speaks about ruling the world. Allah sent Mohammed with the true religion so that it should rule over all the religions.’ “The idea, is not that the whole world would necessarily become Moslem at this time, but that the whole world would be subdued under the rule of Islam.
Allah (Islamic god) and Yahwah (Jodeo-Christian GOD) are not the same person.
It is believed by some scholars that Allah, or al-Ilah (“the god”), can be traced to Ilah, the South Arabian MOON GOD. The word Allah never appears in the Hebrew nor Greek scriptures as a name of God.
The symbol of the worship of the moon god in Arabian culter and elsewhere throughout the Middle East was the crescent moon.
Archaeologists have dug up numerous statues and hieroglyphic inscriptions in which a crescent moon was seated on top of the head of the deity to symbolize the worship of the moon god

They are praying to the same CREATOR that is known by many names.
The Jewish people do not believe that Jesus was the promised messiah.but a wise and good Rabbi. So they are like the Muslims in that respect.
The Christians believe that Jesus "the CHRIST" was the son of the Jewish God .And have been given the duty of keeping the words and deeds of CHRIST pure and true until the Jewish people recognize that He was the promised Messiah.
The Jewish religion was a dualist religion using the names Yahweh and Jehovah. Until Moses started Monotheism with the name Yahweh as the only name for their GOD.

Christians do not pray to the same god as muslims here is the answer.
Mohamed got sick and wanted to kill himself when he was visited by an angel. There is only one angel that would make someone want to kill themselves, the angel of light the most beautiful angel there ever was his name is lucifer (the devil). Everything they say lines up with Revelation in the Bible. Christians are waiting for the Antichrist to come he is supposed to claim to be Christ. The devil (the ninth imam) in disguise is to stand next to the Antichrist. Yes the devil has made this evil religion and he will continue to kill many until it has taken over much of the world, even the United States will be ravaged by Islam. But in the end Jesus will come back and conqueror the earth and cast all unbelievers into hell. So make sure you accept Christ as your one and only salvation and repent from your sins (turn from your sin) and ask for the Holy Spirit to live in you

constructive - all think there is basically one God, and besides the shown fact that followers provide Him another perceive, he's likewise a similar historic God. All 3 agree on a definite style of prophets as brought about: Abraham, Moses, Noah, Jesus (it quite is likewise, of course, the Messiah of the Christians), and others. Jews and Christians do no longer receive the divinity of Mohamed's message (besides the shown fact that some are prepared to grant he was once inspired).

Judaism, Christianity, Islam and Mormon all refer the same god.
What their respective scriptures say about him is in variance, however. All of them use the old testament of the bible as a base.
The new testament describes the Christian reinvention of god but it's still the same god.
The un-reinvented god supposedly dictated the Quran to Muhammad a few hundred years later (in Arabic, which was handy for the guy) because, apparently, he forgot to mention a few things to Moses earlier.
Then there's the book of Mormon, which came about when god decided to let some Americans in on a few more things he hadn't bothered to mention before to the Jews or the Christians or the Muslims.....
They're all the same god. He just doesn't seem to be able to get his story straight, ever.

No they are not. Jesus Christ said The only way to the Father is through Me. Muslims don't believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. They put more importance on a false prophet than the Son of God. Jesus said be ware of false prophets!!
