Give your cat animal food, not human food. Cat's are animals, not people. Animals like what animals are supposed to eat.

If your cat is healthy, usually eats a good diet, not overweight and it doesn't upset the cat's stomach than an occasional french fry treat is ok. Human food is not ideal for cat's for a number of reasons but once in a while isn't the end of the world. Avoid things like onions and chocolate and other cat toxic human foods like the plague though. The link below lists some things to avoid.
If you want to give him people food, plain boiled chicken or beef will make a good and healthier treat.

Not a good idea, especially if the FF's are pre-cooked before you put them in the oven,. Are they brand names like Swanson or some other? Many of those kind are pre-fried and then flash frozen to preserve the flavor and crispness. If that's what yours are, then your cat is still getting a hefty (for a cat) serving of fat. If they're homemade, I'm not sure if baked fries are bad for it.
Still, a cat's digestive system isn't really made for potatoes. Cat's will on occasion eat grass, but when they do that's a sign that they are experienceing stomach trouble. I'd think about finding a more "cat friendly" snack.

My cat loves puff cheetos! Go figure! I can tell you 4 or 5 at a time is not good for her. One a week or less would be okay. You don't want her getting to where she uses this as leverage against you. What I mean by that is that cats sometimes get finicky. More cats that are accustomed to eating human foods are finicky than cats that do not. Believe me you don't want to be reduced to buying 25 kinds of catfood trying to find something your cat will eat and not turn her nose up at! That's no fun!

If your cat eats mostly cat food, is 15 months or older, active, and not over weight, the occasional fry may not HURT THE CAT. However, feeding an animal the occasional people food may lead to a loud and finicky pet. If you love your cat, a fry can be a treat. BUT IF YOU WANT TO SHARE ALL OF YOUR PEOPLE FOOD WITH YOUR LOUD CAT. Feed on.

You should feed your cat the food that's meant for him......CAT FOOD!!! He should always have access to a bowl of dry food and a bowl of water.....Then for a treat for him..you can give him a half of can of wet food in the morning and half at night......At least that's what I do......Maybe you can get those little cat treats too......Human food is not meant for cats....It can make them sick and can even be fatal.....They have a list of all deadly foods on the humane society web page....I use to sneak my kitty bits of human food until i read how bad it could be for him.....Its not worth the risk or another vet bill!!!!

Hi there...Many people uknowingly realize that human foods can be toxic to cats http://www.peteducation.com:80/article.cfm?cls=0&cat=1276&articleid=1029 . Additionally, many times scraps are nothing more than empty calories as well, but most are not. Table scraps are a leading cause of digestive disorders including feline obesity. Any vet can confirm this fact.

The rich foods we eat can wreak havoc on your cat's digestive tract. A simple, consistent diet keeps their system functioning as it should. Throw in your very different foods and spices and do not be surprised if your cat has bad gas, bad breath, loose stools, etc. Again, any vet can confirm these facts.

Cats who are fed table scraps become finicky eaters over time. If your cat develops a taste for your food, she may stop eating her own. After all, which would you prefer, dry cat food or juicy steak and hamburger every night? Cats are obligate carnivores and their food is specifically designed with them in mind. Human foods can cause deficiences which contributes to medical problems.

Please consider reviewing the articles about why table scraps are bad for kittens/cats and how it causes obesity and health problems:

Consider ringing a veterinarian to ask if you are not sure. For the mere fact you asked here indicates you care enough about your kitty's health and well-being. It's best to trust a medical professional who understands feline health rather than anyone of us here on Yahoo Answers.

It is OK as a treat only. Should be no more than 10% of her main diet .This applies to all non formulated foods to either dogs or cats.
