During those months will it ever get really hot? When does it get the coldest? Does it rain a lot or is it sunny often?

Well I have to disappoint you, it's the worst time of the year here.
Cold, wet and when it snows its mostly in February-march.
Bring warm winter coat with you and good shoes/boots (against the wet!).
In May sometimes a few days of sun, the best month was June this year, but such summer we don't get a lot.
By the way (for the chocolats it's not Leonados but LEONIDAS).

the weather is the coldest in January and February. It won't get really hot. It's in July and August that the weather is the hottest in Belgium. It will rain, of course, it's Belgium. And for the moment it's foggy during all day, it's the first time that it's so foggy in Belgium.
And it's sometimes sunny especially around April and May.

It is rarely sunny from January til May. It should snow a few times in Jan, Feb, and March, but it won't be too cold. Make sure you have a heavy coat, though! Mostly, though, it just rains and rains and rains and rains. :(

You should really like Antwerp, though. It is a beautiful city, and the Belgians serve the best food in the world. Also, the bar scene in Antwerp is excellent!
