I'm 22 and my hair is jet black and my complexion is a medium olive. I also have very dark eyes, and my eyes are my best features. I'm just after a bad case of flu, so I'm looking for something to pep me up a bit. I have decided on a layered-hair cut, but I'm not sure about what colour highlights I should go in for.
Could you guide me, please?

If your hair is black, then I'd go brown (if you try blonde it might turn your hair orange and with an olive complexion, no matter how light, you're gonna look like an avacado...olive skin and blonde do NOT mix...)...maybe burgandy, a bit...try a bronzer, not heavy, light on your cheeks, nose, forehead and chin. Just to give you some color...maybe some rose on the lips and eyes...
maybe gold on the eyes...
Is your hair straight ??? Layed on curly hair will make it curl that much more ( I know I have curly hair). Straight hair with a round face, makes the face look longer...curly hair with a round face, makes the face rounder.
Straight hair with a long face, makes the face, REALLY long. Curly hair with a long face will perk you up a bit, brings the 'look' of a long face 'up'.
If you have your hairdresser 'glaze' your hair (for more shine) you might not need a highlighter...shiny hair is always in fashion.

Clairol, I think it is, has a website where you can upload a picture and try out new hairstyles and hair colors and you can see what you would look like. It is really cool to use and it tells you exactly what product you need, down to the brand name and shade number.
