Doing something wrong..?

Question

I am currently almost sixteen years old. I'm just about a straight A student and am a little above the middle line popularity wise. I'm decent looking (not great, not ugly). Those axioms should allow you to answer my question with a little more reverence.

I have honestly helped countless friends and people with their relationship problems. My advice has generally worked for them, at an average,very well for them. Albeit, I cannot get anything to work for myself.

Something I have really wanted for a while is a girlfriend. I treat everyone as they should be treated. I just can't, whatever I do, generally being myself, get anywhere. In a retrospect, I have never had a girlfriend. I'd like to know how it feels before I leave high school (At this point it seems like I won't until after college.)

In accordance to my situation and description, do I sound like I'd be desirable at all? Any advice would be appreciated. I'll award the most full and best answer, 10 pt

I am firstly impressed by your use of real grammar. It is so refreshing, a pleasant change to reading questions from young teens that don't make any sense. Intelligence is a plus with women.

In answer to your question......

I think you should stop looking for a girlfriend. The most amazing people come into your life when you least expect it. The longer it takes for her to find you, the more precious she will be. I can understand how hard it is at your age, I have been there and done that. I hope you are a patient person and don't just jump at any girl for the sake of experiencing it all before college. Wait and see what comes around the corner.

You sound just like my best friend. She's the same age as you and she treats everyone so nicely. I don't understand why guys aren't all over her. It makes me feel bad because she's the bestest friend a girl could have and I'm sure you're the same way. Some people just don't know what they're missing sometimes. That's the thing with highschool.. we're still young and stupid. We don't really know anything. I'm sure maybe if you put yourself out there a little more. Maybe try not being picky? I don't know. I never had this problem. When I was single I enjoyed it. I also enjoy having my boyfriend around though. You'll find her.

Think about this.... there are ten times as many girls that feel the same way you do! You're a dude, and dude's need to be approaching girls to get any vibes from them. But usually it's luck and friends. I am a picky person when it comes to who I date, cuz I like long relationships, and I'm 34 btw. Being 16 is tough, but concentrate on the grades, and try to be confident about yourself. The girls adore that, no lie!

you cant really ask "would i be desirable at all?" as a general question in reference to all girls, because all girls have very different tastes. i know girls who are very picky and are strictly looks girls...then there are the girls who go for the average guys....then there are the girls who prefer personality over looks. i guarantee you that there are several girls out there who would find you attractive and who would be willing to date you. maybe the girl who is right for you doesnt go to your school, so you have to broaden your horizons. its just a matter of giving it time and not giving up. play the field. flirt, have fun, meet new people. there's someone for you.

maybe you try to hard just be your self a girl will come alone. start hanging out at a place where alots of teens your age hang and start talking to girls. a girl like a guy that smell really good. good luck
