Thats a good question. I've been a paranormal investigator for 5 years and I've asked that question numerous times.

From my personal experiences in the field I've come to the conclusion that there are no Ghosts. Now I'm not saying there arent any paranormal entities. I've personally come into contact with Shadow People and poltergeists. But I dont feel these are the spirits of dead people. I've never seen a single paranormal entity identify itself as a dead person.

But what are they? I think there are beings out there we have yet to correctly identify. Pixies? Forest Nymphs? Demons? Who knows.

I think if the spirits of Dead people walked the Earth then the Earth would be inundated with spirits. Especially when you take into consideration how many people have died on this planet since the beginning of time.

It always seems to me though that ghosts make appearances in dark places to ppl who are by themselves.
