I think degrees in criminal justice, and then whatever your specialty is, mostly chemistry and such.

Forensic studies is a good start. Also, you might want to consider getting an education in Industrial/Biomedical Photography. You will probably learn infrared and ultraviolet photography, as well as microscopy. Very interesting stuff.
