The first thing to take into account for choosing colors is your skin color. If you are white, for clothing the best colors are darks, if you are dark your best colors are light. For make up, if you are white you look better with darker tones in lips, if you are dark you must use medium tones, not light. Medium tones in eyshadows are good for both kinds, but some darks specially for darks...
There are other rules to go by, but they don´t fit in here...

Blue eyeshadow brings out brown eyes.
I have always liked the color green on my cousin who has similar coloring.
I would use a facial highlighter if the 'wide nose' is a concern for you. I have a wide face and it works well for me.

Bright colors generally look better on people with a darker complexion. Maybe try pink, turqoise, and just bright shades of colors.

If she has a golden undertone: Beige, gold,
maroon, yellow, lime green, olive green, off-white.
If she has a blue undertone: Red, royal blue,
white.
To what do you refer? And what does a flat nose have to do with color (Unless it's make-up) ?

add color to your face like a pretty eggplant colored eyeliner and some nutural eye shadow.... add anice soft pink lip gloss as well, dont use blush though.... use a nice bronzer
