If you have two small delinquint items on your credit report that can be taken care of easliy, will your credit resume as good credit immediately after its cleared?

If not, how long does it take to restore good credit after paying the delinquint debts?

I missed two payments by a week because I was just too depressed to go to the mailbox - and it messed up my score quite a bit for a while. That was three years ago - and now mine is better. I got a store card with a 300 limit and bought necessities that I paid off every other month. (one thing creditors hate, is people who pay everything off every month - why? because they are trying to make money on interest - that doesn't mean you should only pay the minimum, they also want to see that you are responsible.)

Good Luck - you might be able to talk to your creditors and resolve the issue amicably. Silly me, I went and paid off my cards and closed the accounts because I thought that would look good. Nope. Don't do it.

Take care of the two delinquent items immediately.

Your credit will probably look better. But your credit score will not necessarily budge.

What you need to do in order to bring your credit score up is to continue to make your credit card payments on time each month.

Check your credit score in a couple of month and see the change!

It will not happen imediatley. most things will stay on your report for a few years. If the deliquencies were minor and handled promplty you may try contacting the creditors to see if they would have them removed from your report sooner. good luck

Sometimes they delete items immediately after paid, for others, no. It just depends. You can write a letter requesting a "pay for delete", which means if you pay it in full they will delete it from your credit bureau files. Get it in writing.
