I hear EVERYONE say, "eat breakfast. you won't get hungry later on in the day" etc.

I don't understand the specifics of this.

ALSO, I've heard that not eating breakfast means that you can't burn as many calories and/or that it doesn't let your metabolism work right?! That makes no sense. why can't I just eat later on in the day and THEN exercise??

That whole thing just doesn't make sense..

The specialist say eat a big breakfast if you are trying to maintain your weight, as if you eat later in the day a body at rest will not burn as many calories as a body in motion. So eating a good breakfast will give you the energy you need and satisfy your hunger for a longer period of time. We need energy to live so eating a good breakfast gives us that initial nutrients we need for the day and energy. If you eat later in the day and are trying to lose or maintain your weight eating before bed will increase your weight as your body is at rest and not burning the calories as you do actively throughout the day.

In our resting state-sleep-our bodies grow, heal, repair damage, burn calories, etc. When we wake from all of that, we need proper nutrition to give us adequate energy to get our day going. Breakfast accomplishes that for us.

It's not healthy because your starving yourself until lunch. It's good to have all that food and energy and junk in your system. That's about all I know. It's not a made up fact, but I personally don't know.

because food gives you energy. So breakfast is the 1st energy of the day.

food is energy for the body so it gives you something to work off of for the next 4 hours or so before lunch.

it gives you energy and boosts your motabolism. i used to not eat it.. but then i started and i can tell a difference in my mood and how healthy i feel.
