The only way to achieve flat stomach is with proper, perfect diet. You can do all the crunches you want, but if there is a layer of fat around then no one will notice.
Unfortunately most people with flat stomachs are genetically programmed (high metabolism or fat does not collect in this area). The others have *lots* of discipline.
I have worked out for 2-4 times a week for about 5 years and I still have fat around the belly because I don't have enough discipline.

Hi
You are 11 your figure is developing. Your body needs to adjust and move things into place. Eat breakfast. Low fat and trans-fat. Don't not eat it will make your body slow down and burn less calories because it never know the next time food will come. More flab is also a cause because without fuel/food your body will eat it's own muscle causing even the thinnest to look overweight. If you are in good shape a girl with your weight and height can have a better body than one weighing 110lbs but no muscle it is not always about the scale.
Remember to not think your body will just all of a sudden look good due to your age. You will have to give yourself a break. Eat high protein like turkey breast,chicken.... normal portions read the label. Treat your body like a treasure so when you eat you want to put good things in because it only deserves the best.
Love yourself and be kind to you. If you are in a lot of stress for real over this maybe you are focusing on this because it is a way to punish/deprive yourself and maybe control things because life can't be controlled. Learn to relax let go things happen and you can't stop them only deal with them the way it is best for you and only you. Talk to someone that maybe able to make you feel more relaxed about yourself and or professional guidance. Asking for someone to listen is a GOOD thing. Be proud of yourself for asking not just acting. Mirrors sometimes lie.
You are beautiful be good to yourself.

I was over weight after having my children and I got an exercise ball like the ones you see on the late night infomercials and started using it as a computer chair and sitting on it to watch tv. Just sitting on it you are using your abs to keep your balance. I did do some crunches on it and tried to keep moving if I was watching tv. They are about $10 at wal-mart. In about a year I went from a size 12 to a size 2. I was never sore. I also started eating off of salad plates they are smaller and I realized that I had been eating more because I was brought up that you finish what is on your plate not that I was that hungry. Hope this helps you.

i stumbled on the e book to be very informative and hassle-free to ensure. i've got lost 17 kilos in 12 days, i'm basically worried that i'm dropping too lots weight, too rapidly. i'm going to confess i haven't observed the instruction manual precisely. i'm no longer sticking completely to the indexed meals and meal plans (yet generally) and doing little or no workout, however the burden keeps flying off. It needless to say works and if i could observed it precisely i think of it may scare the residing daylights out of me simply by volume that i could lose. So thank you lower back for the tips. i've got by no skill offered something like this in the previous because of the fact they are oftentimes packed with trash, yet 3WD has been a delightful marvel. start off at the instant!

O.M.G> ur not overweight. the main thing u need 2 do is just b comfy w/ who u r. im almost 14 and like 137ish and im k w/ that. if ur fine bout no 1 else w/ do anything. my bro used 2 call my fat al (as is fat albert, hes not 2 bright) but i ignored him, becamse comfy as who i was, and he stopd. no1 else will notice. and if u say every1 says uve got great legs, then no 1 will look at ur stomach, lol. 1 thing though, DONT DIET!!!!!!! if u think that u dont like ur body now, ull hate it after u diet!! just eat right and work out a little if u want. also, dont overwork urself. no 1 else probably even notices. a little bit ago i only liked 2 wear baggy shirts cause of my stomach, but then i saw my sis wearing tight shirts evry day and i though if shes k w/ it, then i am. cause shes got tuns of friends and ive nevr heard any of then talk 2 her bout her weight. if any1 tells u 2 lose weight, ignore them, evn when it hurts. cuase my dad evn says i should lose some weight. and truse me, that really hurts, but i ignore him, im fine w/ how i am and i dont find any reason 2 change any of it. also if u got like a dog, take it on walks atleast round the block, or get a friend and go ride ur bikes or sumtin. also, thes might sound lame, its totally no thought, but u can take up ballet. ya lame lame lame, but their whoole evrything relys on the abs. so if u no some1 who does ballet, or join a class, that will help 2.

Crunches are situps without going all the way up to your knees. They are supposed to be better for your back. Also, do leg lifts. Lay completely flat on your back on the floor and without bending your knees and only bending your hips, lift your whole leg up off the ground. You should feel your lower tummy muscles pulling them up. You can lift one at a time or both at the same time. You could also get one of those exercise balls which usually come with pretty detailed instructions on how to use them. And you could also get a pilates video. That would definitely be beneficial to you because so much of it concentrates on your midsection. I would definitely do that, and it is really good about walking you through step by step and showing you how to do everything. It's really good that you are so concious about getting in shape. Good Luck!

OK Your first step should be getting a physical and know what you can and can't do. The make an appointment at a gym were you feel comfortable and let them help you with a workout program and a eating plan.
Also if a Friend that will make is a goal also. It never hurt to have someone to push you along.

Depends on how old you are, how tall are you and how much you weigh. Dieting won't necessarily help you loose around the stomach area, but exercises like crunches will help keep your stomach muscles strong so that you can keep them pulled in giving you the look of a flatter stomach

depends on your age, height and weight.
check out the link below and see where you fall on that chart.
If you really feel that you need to lose a couple pounds just eat properly and get a little more excercise in your routine. I think you should probably be eating about 1200 calories a day.
