That means that the defending Christians condone hatred and intolerance. Why don't "correct" Christians band together to root out and stop the "incorrect" ones? Why do "correct" Christians simply say, "Not every Christian is like that. If they do such and such, then they aren't true Christians," and then simply leave it at that? Why don't these spiritually wholesome people DO SOMETHING?

Hallelujah, she has seen the light!!!

The answer is, there are no "spiritually wholesome" xians. Theirs is a message of fear and guilt and manipulation.

The "incorrect ones" are merely their military arm, and the more peaceful ones follow behind at a safe distance. It has been their way for over 2000 years now.

Because not everythin you or anyone else decide to call hatred or intolerance is so.
People have a habit of saying anythin that doesn't compliment them is hate.
What can I only say yes?
Can I not disapprove of anything about you? Must it only be approval allowed? What are you crazy?

You in fact are the one showing intolerance towards other wisdom and counsel beyond the scope of your own .
and besides limiting oursleves to disagreement in words IS tolerance, duh?

We already live in a tolerant society, if it gets any more "tolerant" that will really mean arresting people for having wrong thoughts(oxymoron alert). Limiting ourslevesf to disagreement in words and free argument is tolernace, trying to beat someone up,or silence them by force, or doing what you are doing is leaning towards real intolerance.

You are really trying to eliminate dissent and argument, hence free speech, but that is reverse intolerance and very dangerous , so I would say you have a real intolerance problem that you cannot allow people to disagree without having a heart attack, you are a control maniac.

What a bunch of suck ups here with no individual thought processes but are taught to run and grovel at the feet of the first perosn that says they feel offended. This is a tool used as a form of control over others, once you claim you "feel" hurt then all of a sudden you are off limits, it is just a defense mechanism. People need to toughen up or you will be soon crying out for banning your own free speech. In the name of the tolerance, the diversity -perversity crowd have become persecutors and the most intolerant loudmouths, always pointing fingers saying that is intolerant. It is all about trying to control.

The fact is that a Christian is a person too. Just because somebody is a Christian doesn't mean they're perfect. Being a Christian simply means that you try your best to do whats right and you follow God as closely as possible. Yeah a Christian makes mistakes just like every other human but we don't say anything to other people simply because they don't claim to be Christian. I am a Christian and I always try to do whats right but I don't always do whats right. And everytime I mess up I don't always have other Christians saying its okay or anything like what you said. And I would never say somebodys not a "true" Christian. Because a true Christian will fail but they always get back up and try again.

Why don't you stop atheists who are intolerant? Why can't you stop them from being jerks, and when they are you just say Well not everyone is like that? Most likely its because you and I can't control people. If I called myself a vegetarian but ate beef every Tuesday I am obviously not a vegan. However I could still run around preaching the evils of meat and how its murder and still continue eating beef on Tuesdays. That would make me a hypocrite and not really a vegan. So why can't other vegans make me stop professing to be a vegan and give up beef? The answer is because I am free to do what I want and give myself any label I want, but not live up to the label. Not all who call themselves Christians, Jews, democrats, republicans etc. live their lives according to the groups values. What can the others who do live up to the group standards do but say Hey that's not us, this person isn't one of us. They can't make the person stop calling themselves a christian. You can't control people and there is no way to stop people from misrepresenting a group they supposedly belong to, this holds true to every group.

I think its because that coming right out and saying "this is wrong" is the same thing that the wrong ones are doing. Sometimes NO action speaks louder than action. (like the whole eye for an eye thing, both actions are wrong)

I absolutely do NOT believe that anyone has the right to tell anybody else how live, who they should be, tell anyone what they should believe. But I don't think going around screaming it would send the message across.

True believers (not necessarily Christians) LIVE this way, not preach it.

What you do speaks so loud that I cannot hear what you say.

I don't believe it's right to condone things that go against the Bible. And while I don't condone hatred, I believe intolerance is a different issue completely. There are some things that Christians should be intolerant about, but we should not hate those that do them.

Some do, but not enough. The problem being there are so many people claiming to be Christian and to few who actually know what it means to be Christian. I try to correct (with out condemning or judgement) those Christians that put out negative and inaccurate reflections of Christianity every chance I get, but as I said there are to few people who truly understand Christianity and what it means.

To the person below me you have to accept to tolerate.......Christianity calls us to accept and love all, not just tolerate.

And for anything that might be percieved as judgement Christ said "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." Personally I get no stones.

You are doing to all Christians what you complain about. Lumping everyone together as the same and then being intolerant.

Please think about how this sounds.

I'm a Christian and not intolerant nor do I try to defend anyone from any background who exhibits intolerance.

Be fair!

Christians, whether they admit it or not, do judge other faiths and religions, and they do so because they are taught, just like Muslims, and all other religions, that their way is the best and the right way, whether it's true or not. And they will defend each other because of this... they believe they are right, whether you want to call it brainwashing or whatever, each religion thinks they are correct in their assumptions and interpretations of the Bible, and God's word. I am not religious, but spiritual, because I don't feel you need to belong to an organized religion to experience God. You can talk to Him one on one if you wish, and you can be just as at peace with yourself walking through a forest with nature as the only sound as you can sitting in a pew with 200 other people listening to how you should experience God!

I'm a christian. But I do NOT condone any type of violence and bigotry, coming from ANY type of faith. I hate Bible Wavers as much as I hate Al Quaeda. My BF is Islamic and he hates Al Quaeda!! I feel terrible for those kids who have been sodomized by catholic priests and I feel terrible for beaten-up women who have become the victims of Fanatical Bible nuts, or Talmud nuts or Islamic freaks. I think religion is great on an individual way and it should teach you to be a better human being, not a tyrant. So, I do NOT support any fanatical creep, even if he/she IS christian, like I am. Or of any faith for that matter.
