Being at home with my family makes me seriously depressed. My dad hates my boyfriend, and does everything to me to practically ruin my life. I hate being at home.
Me and my boyfriend have been talking about moving in together, or even me moving into his house. His parents love me. How young is too young to live together? I love him very much.

legal age for here is 16.
and saying "old enough that you shouldnt have to ask" was the dumbest thing i heard. cause im just asking for opinion, not cause im going to listen forsurely to exaactly what everyone says.

Do you have a full time high paying job? Can you support yourself completely? Did you ever ask your dad why he hates your boyfriend so much? Maybe he knows something you do not know about. If you can support yourself and over the age of 18 then there is no reason why you can not live together.

You are now grown up to an age where you think your dad is ruining your life and your boyfr . your body has hijacked your brain and nothing is going to be registered with. you go and your fathers heart will be broken. try to find out why he hates yr boyfr.see i have seen so many peoples lives and from that one thing i know boy/girl friend may come and go but your are there for forever till they are alive. Ofcourse there some cases of parents abusing their own children. You must think about your own career first, see that you are able to live by your self incase yr boyfr and u disagree later( god forbids). dont close the door of your family. I might be coming from a different culture where i am trying tell you how we do things. we take our parents in confidence. The best i will tell for now is give some time lets say one year and then you both find each other loving then go ahead give your best to win over your parents, the of which you will perhaps understand when you become a parent and same is repeated. god be with u

Old enough you shouldn't have to ask!
You know what I was just giving my opinion as well. Its different for everyone, it just depends on if you are ready. By saying my answer is the dumbest thing you have heard, your acting like a child! That is what this sight is about, getting different responses! You made a fool out of yourself.......

I have the same situation. My dad hates my boyfriend too. I'm 16 and wish I could move out now. However, I have to wait until I'm 18. But as soon as I'm 18, I'm moving out...THAT DAY!

I don't think you can set an age on that. When you are ready then it is good. Depends on how old the relationship is and other logistics. If you feel you are ready then go for it. What do you have to lose? Good Luck!
