A guy I like takes days to respond to my online messages.
Well, first of all let me say that I emailed him first, and he did respond the very next day, but I was out of town and did not get his response until 2 weeks later. Ever since then he takes several days to reply back to me.
We are very flirty in the emails to one another.
The last message I sent him was before the holidays two weeks ago and I still have not heard from him.
Is this a sign he is not interested, or am I reading too much into it?

He reads the messages right away, like minutes after I send them, because I see the sent messages say "READ".

I take forever to answer my emails unless they require an immediate response.
Do not worry and do not email him again until he emails you back.

Actually those "receipt reqests" are misleading. Just because he "opens" an email doesn't mean he actually reads it. I go through my emails and the ones I want to read later I will "mark as read" which give an indication to someone requesting a recipt that I've read the email, when I actually haven't. Then when I have time later I will go back over my emails, delete ones I'm not interested in reading and read the rest. Perhaps he is simply busy, (does he have a job?), this is a busy time of year for some people. Give him a break, just because you like him doesn't mean he is not entitled to have a life.

That's how it is with my boyfriend. Usually it takes a couple days for him to respond but with the phone he takes days or weeks.
When a guy says he'll call you 'later' he means in a couple days, or a week. Not in an hour.
I wouldn't look into it that much. He's probably busy doing whatever he does. If he wasn't interested, he wouldn't be flirting with you in those e-mails and such. Good luck! :)

Well if he wasn't interested in you he wouldn't be responding at all. So it could be (1) he doesn't want to look desperate, (2) he is busy, (3) it takes him awhile to think of something to say back. But yes he is interested or he wouldn't be emailing you at all. Maybe he just likes to take things slow.

i'm a girl and i take a long time replying to the email of a guy i really like. not because i'm not interested, but i take a long time to write what's really on my mind/heart. if he wasn't interested, he wouldn't have written you, period. so be thankful he even writes you at all. if you guys are flirty, then be sure he is interested! and think about it.. isn't it just hard work, in general, to reply so quick all the time! that's pressure, even for a girl who IS interested.

Well maybe he's just busy and all...and he reads them and he really doesn't have a responds. is this on myspace ?? cus I don't know if yahoo has that kinda thing with emails.
Anywoo maybe he's just busy ..but instead of gettng all upset about it come out and ask him ....if you feel hes give you a bs answer then stop talking to him.

He may need time to think of something clever to say!
OR he just wants to make you anticipate his reply...
Not responding right away in emails is just like the three day rule after the first date....You dont want to seem desperate....
Don't charge it to his heart...he's a guy....it's fine

I think your reading to much into his feelings. If he was interested, I am sure he would have answered it the minute he got it.
