I know I should be patient and wait and stuff, but I really want to start dating this guy. I'm 13 and that's probably too young, so I don't know. I want to talk to my mom about this, but I'm scared my mom would get mad at me. How should I confront my mom about this? I REALLY want to tell her and I REALLY want to date him.

Yes, your mother should get mad at you. 13 years old is far to young to be 'dating' anyone. If you want to talk to her, just tell her you need to ask her something. No matter how BADLY you may want to date him, it is not a wise idea. Maybe you need to examine the statistics of teen pregnancy because of dating in the early teen years. I understand that your friends are doing it, and that you see it on TV, and read about it - I strongly discourage this. You are still a child, and enjoy your childhood. It will be over before you know it. Besides, if this guy is really right for you, he'll wait until your older to date you - because he will want what is best for YOU.

well I was not allowed to date until I was in high school. Looking back I didn't miss out on much. Maybe in a year or so you can talk to then and open up some dialogue. If you are responsible and don't give then much trouble then maybe they will see that. You coudl sneak behind thier backs but that won't do much good. I suggest becoming friends with the boy. If your parents aren't too strict maybe invite him over and hang out with him so they can get to know him as well. That might be a way for them to see that young relationships aren't all that bad.

At 13 you are too young for dating. But you might want to talk to your mom about lower the age to 16.

talk to him. tell him you cant date until ur 18 but would want to get to know him. then talk to ur mom. tell her this wonderful guy(once u find out whether or not he is wonderful)...honestly 13 is a little young. i dont blame them...wait until high school it'll be easier on you and ur parents

do me a favor sweety listen 2 ur parents, they know whats best. when i was ur age i told me father i was gonna date this guy even if he didnt like it. i did n now i wish i would have listened when he said "NO". my life turned out to b really bad because of this guy. i know all guys arent the same, but u can always sit down with ur mom n explain 2 her how much u like him. thats what i did n my mom OKed r relationship.

you don't need to date at 13. how can you date at 13? Just hold his hand at school and kiss when the teachers aren't looking. Can you even hold hands in schools anymore?

dont date-date, do the group date thing. 13 year olds usualy just say they're bf/gf and only see eachother at school. its not a big deal.

Thats Ridiculous. You should start dating when you feel ready, not when you're parents decide you're ready. They should trust you enough because you're getting older. 18 is way to late. Dating is a learning process, you should start it.
