I would say hug that person and most likely you will get a hug back... besides you never know... that person might be feeling the same way you are inside and is afraid to ask

You better let them know, it's the most frustrating thing for a guy to find out afterward a girl had the hots for him but he never had a clue. And you need to figure out if this is infatuation, or is he going to feel the same way about you? Ask him what he is looking for in a woman, because you'd like to know, and let him know what you hope to find in a man, and suggest maybe you get to know each other better, it doesn't have to be serious, better to take it easy than to rush things and scare him off.

Then you don't truely love them. You might love them but it isn't true love until it is given and recieved.
He is a friend. all you can do is ask for a friendly hug. And that is it for now.

If you can, pretend that you are cold and really need a hug for warmth. Or do something that gives you an excuse to get held.
Or maybe just tell him you love him?

LET IT GO OR JUST ASK THEM IF THEY WOULD HOLD YOU NO REALLY TALK ABOUT IT ARE YOU SURE THEY DON'T FEEL THE SAME WAY AND IF YOU FIND THAT THEY DON'T MOVE ON LIFE IS TOO SHORT.THERE IS SOMEONE OUT THERE THAT WILL LOVE YOU BACK AND JUMP AT THE CHANCE TO HOLD YOU
