More people would use Linux rather than another bloated Microsoft OS version?

More likely people will just put up with XP and eventually buy a new machine or upgrade memory, possibly driving down RAM prices.

But I'm not really all that concerned as it won't necessarily affect me.

look it is not just memory with vista you have to have a high end system.... plus the fact it is going to cost you $160.00 plus to upgrade

the basic version will not be worth having... which is going to be the cheapest.. and the next version up is going to be up to $199.00
