If your hair comes out that easily, I am going to guess that it is really curly and/or you live in an area with high humidity. I would suggest using the SUNSILK products...silky smooth, it's in a purple bottle. Wash and condition your hair, and then put finishing creme in it and brush it out with a comb. Let it dry and then clip and seperate it as normal. Spray it with VO5 miracle mist to protect it from the heat damage and work with one area at a time. After your hair is straight, spray it with a light mist of hairspray and this should help it stay longer. I have really curly hair and this keeps it pretty straight all day. The longer you shampoo and wash the better the results will get. Good luck!

Get a more powerful straightening iron. The ones you buy from Wal-Mart for $20 don't work unless you have extremely fine, thin hair.
I have a Jilbere Paris one that I bought for about $45 at a Sally's Beauty Supply that has 40 heat settings. I have the frizziest, poofiest, curliest hair of anyone I know and it keeps my hair straight all day.

Ok i have insanly curly hair and its 6 inches long, not a fro, but heres a tip, spray ahirspray on your hair after straightening, use alot, then take a towel and try to dry it off, then comb it even though its still a little wet, let it dry then take a soft brostled brush and get the hairsrapy chnks out and seperate the hair

i would suggest using salon styling products. anything is a salon is always of better quality and will perform better. try smooth and sleek shampoos and conditioners, i think that is what theyre called, from matrix. they will smooth your hair so it isnt frizzy. you can also use a smoothing creme, from frizzease. it is sold at walmart and places like cvs or walgreens. also, try using a better straightener. i have one from revlon with ceramic plates. it works really well. only about 17 dollars at walmart. if you are using a conair straightener it wont get hot enough. the revlon straighteners heat up in about 30 seconds and get very hot so they work more efficiently. make sure you use one with 2 inch plates, so it covers more hair and works faster and better hope this all helps

I got a cheap straightening spray from Wal-Mart. I just spray it onto my hands then run my fingers through my hair. It seems to work really well.
