No. We are all connected to each other and to the all that is. No one, regardless of material possessions or social status is any better than anyone else outside of this physical incarnation. As our true spiritual selves, none of that matters.

With or without my religious beliefs, I don't feel that I am better or lesser than anyone else. I'm just an average person doing the best that I know how to do---just like everyone else.

I am not sure why I would need to put my religious beliefs aside to assume if I were better than someone or less than someone else. I believe no man is no better than any other man period. We all have different ideas and different things we succeed or fail at. We all have trials and failures. I just happen to believe that we have to answer to those things which are not Christ like that we do in our lives.

Religious beliefs would leave psychological analysis. Using that I would probably consider those 'lesser' people and how they got to their place in life. Conclusion : No better. No less.

I'm just the same as everyone else, Jewish, Islamic, Christian, Bhudist, Shinto or whatever. I think that what qualifies a person as better or worse than evrybody else is his or her actions in life, not the faith you preach of follow. Heck, I know aethiests that are much fner people than many religious, bible waving ones. So personally, I think that humans are defined as such by their actions, not their religion. I'm no better or worse than the next girl... I'm just as good as I can be and I try to better myself eachpassing day, is all.

I'm not sure it's possible because it defines who I am and what I believe. But I'll try.
I think if it wasn't for my understanding of where I came from and where I'm going and who I am in Christ, I would do what the world does....put myself on a set of scales and weigh and measure based on performance. I would think I'm better than some and worse than others. I would puff myself up with my accomplishments and tear myself down when I stood beside someone more attractive or smarter.

Better than some, worse than some. Think about it- when we were kids we knew "right from wrong" and didn't put God's commandments into it. We were just being nice, considerate people. If we look at ways to treat human beings for the better of life, we don't need religion as a guide. (Although I am religious! Contridictory, 'ey?) So, using my "decent human being detecting skills" I would say that I am "better" than a child molester, and "worse" than Princess Diana :-)

As a Christian, I don't consider myself to be better than anyone else; just better OFF( on judgement day).
Two men are seated in a plane; the pilot comes over the intercom and announces: " Ladies and gentlemen, we have just lost power in all engines. Under you seat, you will find a paracute. Please put it on because soon you"ll be jumping out at 25,000 ft."
One man puts the parachute on, but the other doesn't. The man WITH the parachute on turns to the other man and says " Aren't you going to put on you're parachute?"
The other man replies " Well there are many different ways to interpret what the pilot said, and I think everyone should be free to make up their own mind."
The first passenger PLEADS with the man to put on his parachute, but to no avail. Just then, a THIRD passenger leans over and says "Stop judging him!"
You see, the man WITH the parachute is not BETTER than the man without one. He IS however, far better OFF when it comes time to jump.

What do you mean by "better"? Morally? Intellectually? Better dressed? More money? That's the problem with socialist propaganda - you get questions like this. "Better" or "worse" depends on the category. Religion is probably the one category where religious folk feel that they are equal to everyone else.

No I wouldn't think that. It doesn't matter the situiation, there is always going to be someone who is having a worse time than you are. and on another note, there is also always going to be someone who is having a better time than you. So all you really have to wonder is "am I being the best person that I possibly can be at this very moment?"

I'd consider myself better than some and lesser than some. I'm sure it's the same with most everyone else.
