I live in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is a city of around 4 million people and has the most beautiful harbour in the world, called Darling Harbour, where the famous Opera House is located. It is a very impressive building with rooof that looks like giant white sails surrounded by the blue waterways of Sydney.
Not lke other harbours which are usually located on the far side of the city, Darling Harbour is right in the centre of the CBD, and is surruounded by the best skyscrapers in Sydney. Just next to the Opera House is the Botanical Garden, a beautiful place to relax. across the Opera House is the Ferry Terminals also known as the Circular Quay, with shopping malls, and waterfront restaurants. Right above the Ferry Terminals is the Circular Quay Railway Station. Within walking distance lies the other city train stations, Wynnyard, Martin Place, Museum and St. James.
The predicate of "The Most Beautiful Harbour in the World", was not coined by us Sydneysiders, but 8 out of 10 visitors from USA, always said just that. I was planning to go for my graduate stuies in the USA, but later at a friend's recommendation I went to Sydney instead. All my friends during my high school days who have taken residency in the USA when visiting me in Sydney without exception said that I have chosen correctly by coming to Sydney instead of the states.
Yes, I am proud of Sydney and Australia as the Lucky Country. We are so far Downunder, that we hardly knew what war means.
And hope everybody in Sydney will try our best to keep it in that condition.

Haha! Just thinking about it cracks me up. I live in Auckland, New Zealand (NZ by the way, is NOT a state in the US). Apparently, the Sky Tower, which is in Auckland City, is the tallest building in the southern hemisphere. Or, you could say Auckland has one of the best fish and chips! (and burgers)
You could also say that Auckland has the most screwed up weather patterns out of all the cities in NZ...O_o

Oh, and do I need to add that Xena, Lord Of The Rings (LOTR) and Whale Rider was filmed in NZ too? LOTR was filmed in Wellington to be exact :)
