I have done a 7 day mini cleanse/fast. I don't like to think of it too much as that bc I am still eating six times a day and I don't starve. I lost about 9 lbs in that 7 days and have kept most of it off as I am on a strict rigorous diet. You can't expect to keep it off if you don't eat healthy afterwards. My tip is, don't do any cleanse that requires liquids only for that whole week. Mine only required liquids 2 out of the 7 days and they were protein shakes blended w/ fruits and veggies. That way you don't binge immediately whne you're done. E-mail me if you have any more questions. I tried to reply back to your e-mail but it wouldn't let me.

If you are doing the master cleanse you shouldnt eat any solid food. And before the fast it's better to not eat a big meal. You can drink all the water you want, though. Pure fruit juices, herbal teas, and coffee and tea if you regularly drink it. Fasting is hard enough without having to give up caffeine. You can drink veggie/chicken/beef broths, also, if you are really feeling the hunger pangs. Remember, the first 1-3 days of a fast are the hardest. After day 5, your body starts producing ketones, which is the body's own appetite suppresant. Be sure to come off the fast by eating light foods only and chewing them well. Your body won't be used to having to digest food. Good luck!

Your asking what to eat during a fast?? Usually a fast means no eating. I fasted for 5 days in which I took nothing but water. That was really tough and I spent the 5 days on the couch without any energy for anything. When I started up again to eat I had to take it real slow, eat very little, gradually building up to a regular meal.

Most of what you will lose is perhaps water weight and whatever has been there in your intestines. Depending on how much you weigh at the moment you start the cleasning process, you will lose anywhere btw. 5-14 lbs. And if you eat right afterwards, you will lose more. During and after the diet, I lost a total of 25 lbs... so it all depends. (OK, so I had more fat to deal with after having been pregnant and breastfeeding for 3 years in a row)

If you eat anything during the period you are fasting it isn't fasting.
You must drink large amounts of water no other fluids or once again you are not truly fasting.
Once the body starts to burn it's own fat ketosis occurs and the water is needed to flush the toxins from your system preventing liver and kidney damage

beyonce lost 14 lbs in 2 weeks with fasting. Just remember to drink plenty of fluids, and since your body will be depreved of food, do not do any extreme sports or any thing that will cause exhaustion. before you start, eat lots of carbs and sugars. DONT FORGET TO DRINK WATER!!! tons, gallons, if you dont, you may suffer from dehydration because of lack of food and water, leaving you no source of energy.
Good luck!

Hundreds of thousands of people around the world who want to have food to eat, and you're going to fast. Why?
It's bad for your health and can cause all kinds of metabolic complications in the long term picture.
If you're hungry eat. God would not want you to not eat, that's why we have food.

Fasting and cleansing are a form of bulimia. You do more harm than good. With exercise and a balanced diet, your body knows how to take care of its own toxins.
