The question is hard because men and women have different goals going into dating. But women get more dating opportunities. They're not even expected to have good careers so they can spend more time on relationships. But women these days have unrealistic expectations about their relationships, so they end up disappointed anyway.

Women of course, the guy has to come up with a line and get the conversation started and hope the woman has some sort of interest in him. The woman can just go to a place and look beautiful and see who she can land, and its up to the woman who she deciedes to keep or throw back. The women have is easy. But that just my opinion.

Women definately have it easier. Anytime they don't like something, they can just up and leave. Women like to get PAMPERED and attention given to them. Who has to attend to their needs? The man.
In general you can say men are simple beings, but women are more comlicated.
Example: a man can have a date with take-out and a football game, as long as he has beer, wings, and a woman by his side.
---A woman wants to go to a nice restaurant, dress up, her needs attended to and good conversation.
Guys (in general) on the other hand have a really hard time with a converstion/gossip.

GUYS! they can totally date a "practice girl" obviously for practice. And also ANY girl can be fixed up. He can date the ugliest cow and damn well turn her into a vixen. But for women it's not that easy, men do not wear makeup....so if he is ugly he stays UGLY. NOMATTER WHAT!
May sound shallow but it's true. men have more options. Also a guy can be nice to large groups or girls where'as a girl would be seen as a slut if she was that friendly to strange men.

I think it's different in every relationship. I don't think gender has to do with it so much as who the less insecure one is in the relationship. Genderwise, I would say women have it harder because we're the ones who have to feel all that heavy, emotional crap. Some men seem to be capable of turning their emotions on and off like a water faucet. Sigh, wouldn't that be nice. ;-p

Difficult for both, fear of rejection is great. Men seem to be at advantage in some ways, my son says good girls want bad boys, daughter says men want women to be perfect although men are far from it

I think they both have their positives and negatives. Guys have to pay for everything and call the girl. The girl has to worry about trust and honesty. She has to worry about how hse looks too. What I am saying is that I do not think it is easier anyway. I think it is somthing to debate over.
