Does the panasonic player in the USA take care of reading the DVD and output 525 lines NTSC signal to my analog TV in the US?

No, NTSC player won't play PAL video discs.

You need a multi system + "code-free" DVD player, and a multi system TV.

Multi-system DVD players can read both NTSC or PAL-format DVDs, and will output either NTSC or PAL signals depending on the playback format of the DVD.

DVD-NTSC playback outputs NTSC while DVD-PAL playback outputs PAL to your multi-system TV.

If you currently have a NTSC-only TV (not multi-system), you'll need a PAL-to-NTSC converter as well.
