The Original Sin is real. Romans 5:12: "That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned." To illustrate: Think of a dented cake pan. Every cake that is made in this pan will have a dent. Likewise, the human mold is dented. All humans are born with sin which is our "dent." You're right though. Babies should not be baptized. A person should only make the decision to baptized when they're old enough to understand the reason for baptism and the responsibilities that go along with it. At Matthew 28:19,20 Jesus told his disciples: "Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you." A baby is not able to be taught such deep things. Therefore, they can't observe (or obey) Jesus' commands. Hope I've helped. Peace.

Baby Baptism isn't something I believe in as a christian. A baby can't make a choice to place their faith in Christ so the true baptism, the spiritual one, doesn't occur at this time, but may later in life if the child recieves Christ when he/she is old enough to understand.
Original sin goes back to Adam and Eve and God's law that each will reproduce after "it's own kind". Adam and Eve fell and had endwelling sin before they had children, so Adam and Eve were created in the image of God and fell and their children were "born" in the image of Adam and Eve, fallen and spiritually dead. That is what being born in sin means. This can only be repaired and life given by placing one's faith in Christ Jesus.
Rom 5:15 But not as the offence, so also [is] the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, [which is] by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

Now some christians believe that, some christians don't, but that doesn't even matter. What this big issue is, is that all people commit sin theirselves.
I don't know where your going with baptising, but honestly, if someone was forged against his/her will to be baptised, it wouldn't be all that bad. Baptising is just a way to show got that you are commited to him. It doesn't force you to be.
Whatever the case, this is a flaming topic sometimes, but I just don't see the significance.

Yes,unfortunately,we are all born into sin and need a savior(Jesus) however,I understand the Bible to say that a person must first accept Christ into their hearts as their Savior and then be baptized. I do not believe that baptizing an infant will do that child a bit of good. When the child reaches the age of accountability (meaning when it KNOWS if it is lost or not) then is the time to introduce the plan of salvation to a person. I do not believe that if an infant dies without being baptized that it will go to hell.

It's also because everyone is born from sexual union and only Jesus was from a Virgin. This is part of the argument on the divinity of Christ.
I agree that children should reach an age and make their own decision on baptism. There is nothing wrong with the baby ceremony. It is also to make sure that you pick "God Parents" so the child will have other special adults in their life.

You have a right to your belief, even if it's incorrect.
Study the theology of that matter, and you'll soon see that your position is wrong.
Baptism into the faith is the only definitive way to reject Satan, swear allegiance to the one, true God, become a member of the church, and obtain all the other related blessings.
And in truth, no one knows what really happens to those unfortunates who die without benefit of baptism. There's certainly no assurance of heaven for one who has never been "saved". And a soul is a soul. There are no "baby" souls.
Why take the chance? Based on who's opinion? And what if you AND they are wrong?
Baptism WORKS 100% of the time, and it NEVER results in harm.
Just do it!

what is true is that all are born with a sin nature(not original sin). even a very young child will instictivly lie to protect it's self. acts of agression are common in young children to satisfy self and personal need over the needs of others.. All against God's Will...even with all this, there is no Biblical requirement to baptize children or infants. That is a man invented "tradition" not the will of God... Coming to God as He prescribes requires an act of the will that a child can not preform... God requires an act of accountability and free will from all who come to Him.... while it is not clearly defined Biblicaly, there is ample evedence in the Bible, because of God's Love and mercy, to believe that the young who have not yet reached an age where they are, of their own will, accountable for their actions, will be concidered inocent by God. should these young die befor becoming accountable they will be alowed to enter Heaven....no baptizim needed.

Let's look at it this way.
Infants and Toddlers need to be taught. OK?
If you tell a kid to stay away from a hot stove, do they listen? As soon as you turn your head they put their hand on the stove!
You tell a young adult...Don't do drugs, don't drink and drive, don't have sex until you are married, don't skip school....If you are doubting being born into sin then why does the child touch the hot stove after being told it will hurt? Have you ever had to teach someone to be bad? NO! It is the "sin-nature" to do the wrong thing!

The bible says that we are born with original sin. What this means is that we are born into sin until we ask Jesus into our hearts. Jesus died for the sins of the world, but we are not redeemed from sin until we accept Him as Savior. This has nothing to do with baptism. Not all religions teach that babies should be baptized at birth, though some do. The bible states that when we believe that Jesus has died for our sins, then we are to get baptized as a declaration of our faith. What it means to be "born into sin" means that we (humans) are sinful by nature and therefore are "born into sin".

Yes we are all born with the sin nature, and God has sent Jesus to die for you and you can receive his spirit into you and that new spirit makes peace between God and the sin nature, after that you go get baptized. John 3
And second the baptism is a baptism of repentance and a baby has not got the awareness to make a decision to follow Jesus, so baby baptism is nothing and its not in the bible, but it has come in in the traditions of man. For a baptism to be biblical A person has to want to get baptized and it is symbolic of the Resurrection of Christ, so you make a life decision that when you go under the water you are burying the old sin full nature and when you come up your are saying I am now resurrected in Christ and will live a new life in Christ, then you must read your bible and see what is going on!
