i use TRESemme deep cleansing shampoo.. it works great and it's inexpensive... my hair is very healthy and i wash it everyday. everyone is different i suppose.. if your hair is really oily, rinse it well before you wash it to get rid of the excess oils, but remember to not wash your hair to the point that it is squeaky clean! some people just produce more oils naturally, especially if you are younger.. everyone in my family has oily hair, but my mother only washes her hair a few times a week and it is still really oily.

Washing your hair every day should keep it from becoming too oily, but make sure you are using a really good shampoo for oily hair - try going to a beauty supply store and getting a salesgirl's or a hairdresser's opinion on which products to buy.

Also, try to not use as many hair products near the scalp - that usually makes your hair more oily.

Well, it really is best to wash only every other day, although it sounds like that is frustrating for you. Have you tried a clarifying shampoo? Lots of brands make them. Also, anything with Tea Tree Oil in it will control the oil, although I must recommend a decent brand if you're going to go that route. Do you have an Ulta store nearby? They sell ABBA products, which rock and are about mid-range in price. Get the one for oily hair. And only apply conditioner to hair from your ears down, not on the scalp. PS-If you don't have an Ulta, you can find ABBA products on line. Good luck!

wash it less times per week. i have very oily hair and go about 3 - 5 days between washings. I can usually tell when it is time. but also, if you need to use conditioner on your hair, only apply the ends. do not put on the scalp.

i generally avoid brands like paul mitchell, nexxus, as they are way too rich for me. i love bed head products.

its probably not your shampoo that's making your hair oily, its probably your conditioner. maybe you leave it in too long , try not using for a bit and see what happens, or maybe switch to a 2 in 1 shampoo so that the conditioner isn't as strong.

get medicated shampoo....and if that doesnt work....i know this is gross..but it really works...takea shower for only a couple mins enough to get clean....but do NOT use so much shampoo..then like every 3 days actually really wash it...then your hair will take to the shampoo

If you wash ur hair everyday, ur hair will keep producing more oil
If you wash ur hair 3-5x a week, for about a month, it will be less oily(you hav to be patient)

Try putting baby powder in ur hair when its oily

Like they said, don't wash it as often. You can still shower or take a bath, just don't use shampoo or conditioner every day. Shaving your head might also work, but I wouldn't recommend it! ;-)

Wash it less, don't scratch your head, comb, don't brush. Try a new hydrating treatment once every two-three monthes. Head and shoulders will kill your scalp and Suave will dry it out so get that out of your shopping carts!
