My patients have always called loved ones by name and converse with them at the end. I have heard a few mention Christ. I have never heard a revived person speak of angels.

At the time of death yes, I believe we will see angels. The reason why I think most people who have been revived don't see angels is because God knows already if we will be revived or whether He will really take our souls.
So when He decides it is time for us to die, we will see angels then.

And many NDE about heaven and hell straight away are all different from each person to the next, so I think it is either an illusion given by a dyng brain, as a natural reaction to release endorphines to ease you out of life, also done by the tunnel and light effect, or it is a trick from Satan to mislead you.
That is my opinion on the angels thing.

If you are looking for Bible answers to this question instead of people's opinions, there are a couple of verses that talk about it. One is the story of the rich man and Lazarus- when Lazarus died the 'angels carried him away to Abraham's bosom, the rich man died, and was buried.' (Luke 16:22) It may mean that the righteous are taken to Paradise by angles and that the wicked see no angels at all.

While there is an Angel in the Old Testament that BRINGS death (see Hebrews 11:28 about the death of the firstborn), it is not something that is percieved as being seen- there is no black shawled skeleton carrying a sickle that you see coming to harvest your soul.

The angels are spiritual beings that humans cannot see unless angels wish for them to, therefore at death our bodies (and thus eyes) may change to allow us to see the spiritual world, since our bodies will become spiritual bodies (1 Corinthians 15:52).

I am a hospice RN and I have heard many people speak to friends and loved ones that have passed before. I have also heard them talk about angels. I do believe that some people see angels before they die. Another common thing that they see is children. :o)

My father died many times during a year in hospital and was revived each time too. He spoke of seeing a white light and angels and also Christ. I believe that we have angels/guardians (call them what you will) who are sent to lead us safely after we die.

I would like to think that we are escorted by angels into the light. But I think it is a journey we make alone until we get to the end of the light, and have our loved ones who passed before us, there to greet us. I'm looking forward to seeing my Grandmother.

I just watched my Aunt pass away from cancer. The last few words she said was "I'm ready now, I see all my angels". Not sure what she meant by that but maybe she did see them.
