So, I have never had a period due to my medical conditions. It has caused other problems, but I am mostly concerned because that probably means I can never have children, right?
I mean, that kind of sucks because I just met my baby nephew and realized being a mom would be so awesome. My sister is such a good mommy:)
I guess I can adopt, or something else. But for now my dogs are my babies.
Please, no mean comments. I just want to know for sure.
Thank you.

I never thought to ask my doctor about ovulation. My cardiologist says pregnancy and/or labor might cause me to go in to cardiac arrest, but that other women have been able to deliver with heart conditions.
Everything scares me, even s-e-x, and I'm not sure I could even handle labor emotionally much less physically.
I hate to miss out on having a child...my mom says it was the happiest times of her life, being pregnant and all.
Thanks to all for your input.

A woman gets pregnant because she ovulates, regardless of whether or not she has a period. A period happens when the uterus does not get impregnated, and your body gets rid of the blood it had been accumulating for the attachment of the fertilized egg.
Therefore, if you ovulate, you can get pregnant, but the issue would be whether or not you could maintain the pregnancy without your uterus saving up blood every month.

An ex gf of mine has a similar problem with her period and she was told that she can have kids. BUT, she was suggested to only do it naturally once! If she wanted to have more kids, she would have to find other methods (test tube, petri dish, etc).
Your doctors are the ones to ask, not us, we can share information and empathize but we do not have the ability to diagnose you. Don't worry about it, everything will be fine! :-)

A doctor should be able to tell you, but even then- never say never. I have a neighbor who never had a period- supposedly didn't even have eggs, and she had one miracle child who is now 17 years old.

I guess the best person to ask if a fertility specialist to find out whether you ovulate or not.

You don't have to have a period to be ovulating. If you are ovulating you can get pregnant. So yes, there is a chance you could still get pregnant. :)

Nobody here can answer this question without your medical history. Please ask your doctor. We'd all love to help but this is really an impossible question.
