i think we should join together and gather the homeless christmas trees. it's a shame that people will put out the trees in the gutter, sides of the road... stripped of their dignitity. they should be put through the shredder or chopped up and burned, not letting thier needles grow old and fall off! its time to rise and mulch!!!

I to find it disturbing to see peoples christmas in gutters. It is very sad. I think you have an excellent idea. The problem I think is that nobody really knows what to DO with them after christmas. Im sure if people were aware of alternative options, they would be glad to help. Personally I donate my tree to the fish in my friends pond,or a family bon-fire on New Years. Good luck on your mission.

Actually, lots of communities (including mine) have christmas tree recycling programs that do just that. If there isn't one in your community, then talk to your Department of Public Works to get one started. No reason these trees need to end up in the landfill. Turn them into mulch!

Wow, um, a great type of places call it various issues, so unsure, evidently such as you're finding for a undeniable specific term. i understand each so often they call them Angel Tree, Giving Tree.

I think that we should all use artificial trees and not kill the poor little things in their childhood for a few weeks of fame to be discarded.
