Do onto others as you would have them do to you.

Slay the idolaters wherever you find them...take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush...

There are commanded to do so. Surely, many say that crusades do not align with true Christian values, but many say present-day Islam is not true to it's clearly more-aggresive roots.

Great rhetorical question. Religion is not the cause of death , humans are, religion or no religion they will figth for power, religion is just guidance, that perhaps even softens the violence, and comforts people in battle , it is not the cause. The causes are fear, defense, necessity, ambition.
It is annoying though to see how many poorly educated people post here who say things like it is revenge for the crusades.
Charles the Hammer did such and such.Let us put it this way. Charles the Hammer stopped the Muslims Jihadist of his day from taking over France, when they had already conqeured Spain you gnat brains. Charles the Hammer was not in the Arabian desert invding their lands, they were here in Europe tryin to invade and take over Europe. So how can you be such a traitor and duped to believe it was wrong to push hard against the Muslims when by the 8th century they has conquerd and subjected Spain.?So how can you be so disrespectful towards such a hero as Charles the Hammer. The real enemy is the one teaching you lies.
Start repenting on your hands and knees thanking God, by reading a book called
"The Truth about Muhammed, founder of the Worlds Most Inolerant Religion" by Robert Spencer. But if you made comment like that, that means you don't really read, so to make it easier, you can get the much more user friendly"The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Crusades".

Well...

I think the problem lies in your apparent full-fledged flight from reality.

Xians have committed some of the most atrocious acts imaginable in order to "spread the good news".

What about the Crusades, the Inquisition, the Burning Times in Europe, the near annihilation of the Native population in the New World, the Witch Hunts, and the numerous other civilizations that have been wiped off the face of the Earth, (and I'm sure this list isn't all inclusive), all in order to turn people on to the "loving god" you try to sell everyone.

The answer to your question is: it is your Karma.

Whatever we send out into the world comes back to us 3 times over, good or bad. It is just the way the Multiverse works. Nothing personal at all, so don't try to act so wounded.

I find it very amusing that xians all try to act so modern and civilized when confronted with their past and the consequences thereof.

And yes, you are still "doing it". Our born-again leadership thinks that it was divine guidance that commanded them to invade certain other sovereign nations under false pretenses. These nation's cultures are thousands of years old, and you people have the audacity to think you know better than them how they should be living, and are more than willing to kill to get your point across.

There is a large group of evangelical xians running amok in the upper ranks of the Pentagon even as we speak (google it for yourself).

A "loving god" for all whether we like it or not, it seems.

Tell that to the war orphans, who, by the way, are more than a little pissed (along with many of their relatives). Don't be suprised when you hear from them.

The Christian right wing movement is behind the current government right now. George Bush's friend was Ted Haggard and we all saw how that tured out. George Bush has taken advantage of the sweetness of the Christian Extremist's gullability and led them by the nose into voting for him. Now he's really messing things up in the literal "Holy Lands", Iraq, where the garden of Eden is, Babylon and all that....under the pretense of O.I.L. (Operation, Iraqi, Liberation) which has been in play since just after the Nixon Administration. Under the pretense of O.I.L., our idiot cocaine intoxiated President Bush is actually trying to start the Apocollipse. He believes, literally that he talks to God, and that if he takes the Devil, (Sadam Hussain) out of "Babylon" like he read in the Bible which was introduced to him by TED HADDARD!, while he was going through detox from drinking...that maybe, maybe he can just start the beginning of the end of the world. And thus be the SAVIOR for all man Kind.
The Muslim extremists know all this, and they are just as powerless to do anything as we are. So they burn down churches.
Good for them. Buildings can be rebuilt.
At least they aren't involved in 9/11. Sitting there reading "My pet goat" upside down.
They aren't NOT showing up with food and water and other crucial resources in New Orleans during Hurricaine Katrina while people are getting sick from infectious disease etc.
Worried about gay marriage? (What the hell does that have to do with anything when we are on the brink of world war 111?)

And your worried about some churches being burnt down?

Have you read the bible?
Jesus goes into the city..he has to get pissed off, "god" tells him too..he clears out the church and knocks all the walls down!
Why? Because the world is the church!!!! Its in the bible!!!
You're not supposed to take it literally.

I'm afraid you are viewing this from an extremely biased viewpoint.

Muslims have been persecuted, just like all the other religions. The crusades are the most prominent example, but there are plenty of others, and not always by Christians.

Also, the majority of Muslims don't participate in these sorts of activities. Maybe, if you're thinking of a particular incident, and a particular group of Muslims you will be able to get a better answer.

Millions of Muslims demand a double standard: the slightest questioning of Islamic practices or teachings or political or social expansion is greeted with violence and s destruction butviolence done in the name of Ismam and slanders/libels of other religions and ideologies are applauded American Leftists tend to be quite tolerant of criticisms, misrepresentations and slanders of Christianity , especially Catholicism, but are totally intolerant of even fearing Muslim extremists as the NPR firing of Juan Williams shows

Mohamed got sick and wanted to kill himself when he was visited by an angel. There is only one angel that would make someone want to kill themselves, the angel of light the most beautiful angel there ever was his name is lucifer (the devil). Everything they say lines up with Revelation in the Bible. Christians are waiting for the Antichrist to come he is supposed to claim to be Christ. The devil (the ninth imam) in disguise is to stand next to the Antichrist. Yes the devil has made this evil religion and he will continue to kill many until it has taken over much of the world, even the United States will be ravaged by Islam. But in the end Jesus will come back and conqueror the earth and cast all unbelievers into hell. So make sure you accept Christ as your one and only salvation and repent from your sins (turn from your sin) and ask for the Holy Spirit to live in you

Why did Catholics and other people who call themselves Christian burn people at the stake in the past, calling them witches who were actually scientists! It's actually not much better today- now they put their filthy noses in other peoples' business and invade peoples' privacy, hack into their computers, and sabotage their work and personal computer equipment in the name of God if someone does not meet their sick standards! Certain people who call themselves Christians have even gone so far as to re-write the bible to taylor to their particular interest and deny scientific evidence that disproves things in the past like The sun circling around the Earth, the Earth is flat, there's no other life in the universe and so on!
