It's not wireless.
It feeds your audio signal from a headphone jack ( or RCA cables) by FM modulation, directly into the antenna input on your radio bypassing the antenna when on, allowing the radio to work as normal when off. Well since you didn't mention the type of car, or which radio you have, or whether it has a remote cd player or changer, it makes trying to answer a question lots more fun. If you have a factory radio made in the last few years, the best way to go is an interface from Precision Interface Electronics. If aftermarket, then most have their own aux adapter available. An FM modulator is definitely NOT the way to go. The tuner doesn't provide the same dynamic range as an aux input will, and if you frequently travel outside of your home area, you'll soon discover the other fun problem with a modulator. Every so often a radio station will creep in on the frequency you are using. I have used both wired and wireless modulators with similar results. Take it from a real expert and do it correctly.
