an analog video camera is the opposite of a digital video camera, the analog refers to the cassette tape that records all of the information instead of loading it on a flash card or a hard drive. I would suggest that if you want to do any editing with a video camera to get the digital instead of the analog (analog is quickly becoming outdated information)

Analog = non-digital. In practical terms, that means analog = film cameras.
