Just the idea of an evening outdoor wedding makes my heart jump of excitement there's nothing more romantic than that, so i guess you should just plan for the weather and stuff and the what ifs, but everything else i bet it would be perfect. congratulations and good luck, did you think about the time of day you would do it?, evening would be more special , with the tube lights marking the path to the altar and candles all over, but that's just me, XD

Since you live in Texas it is not stupid to have an outside wedding in December.

I wouldn't say stupid exactly but maybe a little on the wild side. Check with the Farmer's Almanac and see what the weather on the date you want in December and see how cold or wet it has been for the past 50 or so years. Then I would rent a large tent to hold all of your guests and give umbrellas or mittens as favors. Other than that, why not?

Texas Australia or America etc??
Its a bit hot in Aussie Land & you run the risk of a storm with hail as well
so not a good idea in Oz unless you want to risk the Bride crying forever

I live in Ohio and a couple that I know had thought about having theirs at the Columbus Zoo which has millions of Christmas lights. I think that would be awesome as long as it was not a long ceremony. Could be great in Texas too!

Nope. It depends on the location. South Florida, the Caribbean, Hawaii, the South Pacific.... all perfect locations for a December wedding.

No, but try to have it somewhere that you can move it indoors if the weather turns bad.

Happened to me. 3 hours before the wedding it got cold and rainy. Quickly moved all the chairs inside and had a great wedding in spite of the bad weather.

Unless you are trying to freeze your guests.... try having an outside wedding in December in Miami.

It's not stupid. I wouldn't do it personally!! But do whatever makes you happy. After all it's your day no one else's. And if they don't wanna sit outside tell them don't come. Their presence won't be missed!!! My guy and I are getting married on my bday next year Nov. 1st so do whatever will make u happy. Don't worry about anyone else. Then again Ia m from New Orleans so the whether won't be very harsh. If you live up north save yourself the frostbite. Don't make any decisions based upon your guests. Like I said it's your day so do wat u want!!!

No way! I think that's perfect! I live in FL and it definitely wouldn't be silly to have a wedding here in December. (We have somewhat similar weather!)
