Samsung 32" LCD HDTV (LN-S3251D) or Sony 32" BRAVIA S-Series LCD HDTV (KDL-32S2000). I actually already bought the Samsung a few days ago but spotted the Sony for $250 cheaper. The contrast ratio is higher on the Samsung so wouldn't that mean I would get a better picture?

Also I am considering this T.V as well Panasonic 37" Plasma HDTV (TH-37PX60U). So out of all three which one should I go with.

The Sony has a HD Monitor so how could it be better than the Samsung HDTV?

It sounds like the purchase you made was a good one. Yes, the higher aspect ratio means a clearer picture. Not a big fan of plasmas, but the Panasonic didn't look too bad. Take a look on C|NET.com for their reviews (editors and users). The links are below.

To be frank you should have gone for Sony Bravia
fisrt of all if u talk of contrast ratio its a term which is market driven and each company has diff stsndards of measuring it but Sony always maintains a fair standard of measuring it on same tv screen and not on diff screens like samsung
apart from this Sony has an edge over its rivals in terms of superior lcd panel of 7th generatuon , a good processing unit & overall better technology.
Sony picture stands out from the crowd.

mod9935 is right. Do not rely on specs to evaluate TV sets, especially contrast ratios. They are measured under abnormal conditions not representative of real viewing and are meaningless. The Sony Bravia is one of the best TVs you can get. You might look at the Sharp Aquos, also highly rated.

to be honest with you i will advice you to go for any of the Phillips models ,though a little bit more expensive but you will get good value for your money.
