One of my resolutions is to eat better (not lose weight) this year. I eat at school and I don't have time everyday to pack my lunch.

I am 15 year old girl too! You can do what I do, which is called the water diet. What you do is drink 8 ounces of water before, during, and after you eat, that way, your body fills up on water, not food, and your body also gets teh correct amount of fluid it needs to stay healthy. You may think that I am nuts, because I though that the person who told me to do this was, but after the first week (of forcing water down reluctantly) I realized how I had not gained any weight, and I could not go throughout the day without drinking a couple waterbottles. Even at a friends house, I had to ask her constantly for more to drink because your body loves the water that you are giving it. I am a USAG gymnast, and keeping my weight and hydration is important to me. Hope this helps, and I think that it is awesome to have more girls my age watching out for themselves!!!

As a high school teacher I see kids eating lunch from vending machines every day. Eating better is a great resolution for the new year. Packing your lunch is really the best way to go because you can plan and control your meals. to save time try packing them the night before. However, if this just isnt possible try to reduce the amount of fried foods that you eat at school nd foods that contain a lot of sodium. If there's a salad bar in the cafeteria, or a grill that might have chicken breasts etc. those might be better options. Also leave the soda andd other sugary drinks alone. Go for water. Good luck!

DIETS DONT WORK!!!! Why do you think there's a new one every week. Ok they may work in the short term, BUT all that you'll be losing is nutrients and water, and you'll actually slow down your metabolism by going on a diet, which will end up in gaining more weight. Trust me.
When I was 14 I weighed the most I have ever weighed in my life, and ironically it was also the only time in my life when I only ate one meal a day. Because it wasn't 'cool' to bring your lunch to school.
The next year when I was 15 I realized that it was completely ridiculous to not eat just to fit in and started eating 3 meals a day again. BUT i eat healthy foods and try not to overindulge in junk food.
All that I drink is water and milk and as soon as I started doing that I lost more weight.
SO the important thing is eat healthy well rounded meals, drink lots of water, and exercise.
There's no secret formula to weight loss.

One of the best ways is to follow a balanced diet devoid of processed foods. the best way to do this
is to make your lunch the night before.Or even make a variety on say a Sunday night in parceled baggies that you can just throw in the fridge and grab in the morning. you can even prepare several lunches and breakfasts ahead of time then freeze them
personal favourite is whole wheat egg burritos for breakfast
egg, tuna or salmon salad, or lean chicken and or turkey sandwiches on whole grain or sprouted bread loaded with lettuce cucumbers tomatoes and sprouts. put the prepared protein in a sealed baggie then use like a pastry bag at the last minute to put on the rest of your sandwich. let me know if you like it! throw in a sugarfree macro biotic yogurt (Danone is best) and some berries ( better than bananas as they spike your sugar levels, and enjoy. Bon Appetit This way you get all the food groups and none of the guilt. You'll feel better and think better too!

My daughter use to take lunch to school but has decided that it's not "cool" because all her friends buy lunch at school. She doesn't have a weight problem, however she is not eating the garbage at school either. She chooses to eat from the salad bar at school. So if your school cafeteria has a salad bar, I would recommend eating from there as often as you can. My daughter also drinks water at school, she brings a bottle in her back pack as well as buys water at lunch time.

I would say go to using the food pyramid. When I was your age I went on weight watchers and this used the food pyramid and worked great, but the weighing in wasn't a good thing for me.. I also reccomend not skipping meals..
