from lowest percentage of casualties to highest:
1) Coast guard
2) Air Force
3) Navy
4) Army
5) Marines
I imagine most people won't include the coast guard though.

the army Reserve. reason being that beginning on April a million, 2007, they have presented the ECS - preparation profession Stabilization - which exempts new squaddies from being deployed distant places in the event that they are college pupils. The exemption could be a 2 3 hundred and sixty 5 days or 4 3 hundred and sixty 5 days exemption. What it boils all the way down to is this: Qualifying reserve applicants can receive a 2-4 years exemption from deployment for OIF/OEF to attend college. they ought to be an entire or area time student and look after a minimum of a 2.0 GPA. in basic terms Non previous service (no split-op, playstation , or DOS) Alphas are eligible for this technique. they should enlist for an 8x0 settlement to receive a 4 3 hundred and sixty 5 days exemption, and could receive a 2-3 3 hundred and sixty 5 days exemption for a 6x2. they are additionally eligible for the different incentives in result on the time of their enlistment.

Percentage wise, of troops Navy sand Air Force all are at .4%, Marines are at .8%. Remember, the Army is the largest branch, therefore less chance of deploying. Marines and Air Force are deploying the most.
The Navy and Air Force now supply their own convoy escorts and security. They have ground troops in Iraq. They even changed their Basic Training to almost mirror the combat training of the Army and Marines.

I'm going to say Air Force. The Army would have the most. The Navy, which includes the Marine Corps would have the next highest total. The Air Force would have the lowest because they mostly fly planes in combat...or refuel planes...or run intelligence flights.

Sir!
No slur or dishonor suggested but the question is wrong.
Our Coast Guard is brave but not on the "front lines" in war all the time but they die every year saving many, many folks.
I was Army Aviation helicopter "DUSTOFF", but I recall the USAF "para-jumpers" who pulled pilots out of harm's way in Vietnam.
Sir, it all can be dangerous.
The Coast Guard, well is beyond brave: they die mostly unknown for valor.
As t the US Navy: well they supply the Corpsmen who serve with Marines and they serve at sea: subs, etc, daily valor.
No branch is braver: we are all now Brothers and Sisters in battle.

USMC
If you consider what Marines do, the casualty rate is VERY low.
Can you guess why?

I would say the navy. You get to be in a boat 20 miles from shore.
