A lot depends on the size of the dog. There are several ways to train your pet. Grabbing their paws and holding them up until they are uncomfortable. Spray bottles can be really effective ways to train dogs in many areas. Some pet stores sell harness-like products that restrain a dog from being able to jump. As far as the biting, you might want to try a muzzle. It may be a protective instinct, especially since you say she does it mostly at night and to men. Are there men in your house? She may be more protective of the house regarding men if she is not used to being around them. Physical punishment can end up breaking a dogs spirit, which is very sad to see. Positive reinforcement and consistency are key. I attached some links that might be helpful to you. Good luck!

Most of what dogs do is done for attention. When your dog jumps, immediately turn around so that your back is to the dog. Do NOT look at the dog or pay any attention to it until it is calmed down.
Have you trained your dog to sit and stay? If you put the dog in a sit/stay she will be less likely to jump.
If all else fails, **GENTLY** knee the dog when she is jumping -- putting a knee up will prevent the dog from actually jumping up.
Whatever you do, don't pet or greet the dog after it jumps. Once the dog has all 4 paws on the ground, THEN give it a lot of attention.

If you touch or speak to your dog when he is jumping on you, you are in fact rewarding his behavior. She wants attention. She jumps on you. You react by making contact with her, either by shoving her down or yelling at her. She has gotten the attention she wanted. You may think it's bad attention, but in her book it's all good.
Next time she starts trying to jump on you, stop what you are doing. Look away from her, as if she is not there at all. Fold your arms up so there is no chance you will accidentally touch her. Now keep doing that. It's gonna take a while at first, but eventually she will become confused and bored with your lack of attention. The INSTANT she stops her jumping and biting and settles down, look down at her and praise her and pet her. If she resumes the jumping (and trust me she will!), go back to ignoring her. It will take time and a lot of patience but she WILL make the connection. Jumping=being ignored. Sitting quietly=lots of love.
Hitting her with a newspaper or stepping on her paws is simply a temporary fix. She may react by stopping, but she will only know you hit her or hurt her, not that she brought it on herself. You want her to learn to think, not simply react. Once she learns to think about what she needs to do to gain your approval, you will find you have a whole new dog.
GOOD LUCK!

when she jumps grab a leg or ear or anything you can and then she goes back down and it becomes painful for her so she learns not to do it anymore or she'll get hurt....in order to make her stop biting just yell at her or if you can when she bites shove whatever she is biting down into her mouth so that it hurts and she lets go....very effective

its natural,
if its not, then its really sad taht your dog wont able to jump on your bed and sleep with you, as well scared to jump down. which also a case that your dog may pee and poop on your bed.
and for the biting, get your dog, a rabbie shots.
if your dog is a puppy, then teach your dog not to bite then, but the bitting comes in NATURAL, if your scared that the rabbie shot may hurt your dog, it wont, and if you refuse to give your dog one, then find a dog mask to keep him/her from bitting
