The Crosman Classic 2100 looks like a great gun for me. I am ready to but it but I would like to know a little more about it. I read all the specifications on the box but, I would like to really know how it is. Like how far does it actually shoot, how far does it shoot accurately, How long has it lasted. Does it hold it's pumps? All that junk. Is there an alternative that is in it's price range? or just as good and maybe worth $10 cause it's that much better. I can get the gun for$48 from dickssportinggoods with all their promotions.

I have had my crossman 2100 for almost 25 years now. It has never failed me. I have probably shot it over 10,000 times. It doesnt get much use now except when my nephew comes over and he shots it also. speed is somewhere between 800 and 900 ft per second if i recall right. Distance depends on where you aim i guess. you could shoot over a mile if you aimed right.
It has been a great gun for squirrels. where i grew up i couldnt have gotten away with shooting a .22
