I've come up with a lot of theories on this one, and i think i've finally got it! Girl's like jerks because the emotions fear and love are so similiar. Could I be right?

You could be...but my opinion is that every single girls has to go through a certain quota of the wrong guys, before she can appreciate or even find a good one.
One of my friends always ends up with the wrong guys because she isn't confident enough to be able to date or even consider that a nice guy might like her. Thus, she has to go through a series of guys each being less of a jerk than the one before it.
My best friend is the sweetest guy in the world and his ex-girlfriend had never had a boyfriend before so when they dated, although he did TONS for her it was never good enough (because she had nothing to compare it to).
And personally I know that I'm just not ready to date a really nice guy because nice guys are for marriage and there's no way that I am ready to get married yet.
And I'm assuming that you're writing this because you're a nice guy, but don't worry you'll find your dream girl one day and don't try to turn into an *** just so girls will date you. Nice guys might finish last but they're the ones that all the girls will be chasing after once they've gone after their series of bad guys.

Personally, I hate jerks. I prefer men who are intellectually advanced and treat me like a lady. if they can not impress with serious conversation within the first 5 minutes, I consider them a jerk, as jerks are only as smart as their acts portray. if you hit a woman, you have the brain of a 5 year old boy who does the same. You tell a woman she is fat/ugly/etc, then you have the mind of a 12 year old who says the same thing to the girls in the hallway at school. if you treat a woman like an object, then you are like a 16 year old boy, who tries to sleep with as many girls as he can, so that his friends think of him as "cool."

No wrong. Girls don't want a jerk for a boy friend and they don't want to live in fear either. I keep finding alcoholics with out trying I'm not meeting them in pubs or clubs but still they turn out to be drunks Why???

no, I don't know any girls who likes a guy bc they are jerks. Date someone who you are attracted to and they do a few nice gestures, say a few charming things and next thing you know, you are blinded by love. Haven't you ever dated a girl who you were head over heels over, but later realized that she is manipulative and was using you?

Not all girls are jerks. Everybody is different. Quite a few men can be "jerks" 2. But they all have different reasons. =)

You're on the right track, sort of. We go for the jerky guys because we don't want to put up with that love thing. We've started to prefer the guys who give us one thing, and one thing only. (If you can't figure out what I mean, seek help now.)
