the best way to make sure you have it and to prove to them that you have it is go to the library, go to the reference section and look at the DSM-IV-TR. it is the diagnostic statistical manual for mental disorders. open it up find OCD and even OCPD and make a copy of it and take it to your parents!!

Tell your parents that you want to go to a doctor and get treatment for the OCD. If they do not believe you, tell them you want to go and get diagnosed by a doctor. Surely they will believe the doctor.

Good luck to you.

Go find the help you need yourself, since they aren't taking you serious. Its somebody out there who can help. I had went to the doctor behind my mom back b/c I got tired of my recklessness. They diagnosed me with Bipolar. You'll think that your child needs help if she tries to commit suicide. I guess that wasn't enough, but I'm sure that's just my mom.

At seventeen you don't need (at least in the states around here) anyone's permission to seek counseling. Contact your local county's MHMR (Mental Health Mental Retardation) office and see if they will pay for counseling for you.

Didn't you already ask this? Convince them to atleast take you to a doctor for a test. Thats harmless.

sit them down AND tell them how serious you are and that you REALLY need help and you are not playing

TELL THEM TO JUST TAKE YOU TO THE DOCTOR AND SEE FOR THEIRSELVES
