To accomplish something real, sometimes you have to discard all you think you know and start over again without the assumptions that have led you in circles.

Mythology explains creation.
Creation gave birth to humanity.
Peace is a state of being.
Man is a being.
Mythology is a construct.
Humans like to deconstruct.
Mythologies are always deconstructed.
Peace is a lovely idea.
Lovely ideas are useless unless they are put into practice.
Humans are lazy.
Peace will remain a theory.
Mythology is a theory.
Humanity likes to theorize.

Mythology and lack of peace are not really related.
The reason people choose war over peace is because peace is a much more complex idea.

Perhaps precisely because myth is such a pervasive force. Imagine how difficult it would be to convince people it's a good idea to go to war if, when a politician unfurled a flag, all people saw was a piece of cloth?

Because it's easier to keep one's head firmly planted up one's you-know-what than it is to get off that you-know-what and actually find a way to do something. That would be why the Pope prays for peace, but can't make it happen.

The opinionated kitten has the best possible answer. To add to that, what is a cross without the whole story that goes with it? How could so many Americans feel righteous about the torture and murder of so many Arabs?

humans are territorial creatures and will continue to kill each other over land and resources. will likely get worse too has tillable soil and potable water becomes more and more scarce due to our overly prolific breeding.

HUMANITY
Humanity is the right cause of the creation of the creatures born with free discretion with the following features and functions:
1-Humanity causes righteousness.
2-Humanity being an awareness of moral state teaches the difference of right and wrong, good and bad.
3-Humanity demands the defense of the righteousness against all kind of Evils and wrongs through laws.
4-Humanity emerges the peace required by the living beings, not only among humans but also among all kind of creatures.
Whosoever takes care of others as one takes care of one’s own self and seeks peace through such decent acts and ways is a nice human. It is said “Whosoever does with others whatever he likes others to do with him and does not do with others whatever he does not want others to do with him is righteous and a caring human.”
RIGHTEOUSNESS
Righteousness, as it is revealed in the Holy Scripture, is based on three things:
1.Whosoever believes in One Alone GOD, honors GOD, worships GOD, serves GOD is righteous in belief.
2.Whosoever acts according to the commandments of GOD as revealed in the Holy Scripture is righteous in acts.
3.Whosoever values the Day of Judgement and performs acts for the sake of salvation is righteous in faith.
Precisely, who guards one’s self and avoids Evil, as it is required for salvation GOD, is righteous by name. GOD will choose among mankind, the righteous ones to declare successful on the Day of Judgement, no mention to which nation they belong.
Righteous people are people of GOD and are beneficial humans.
