ok so there is this guy and hes like my best dude friend but i like him and i dont want to ask him though he kinda makes it obviuse that he likes me and i think hes just waiting for me to ask but i dont want to i would really like him to ask me out and he has bought me things at school that were really sweet of him..(and yes we both have good grades were both on honor role) and hes just really nice but i dont know what to do...please i really do need help

maybe just make it a little more obvious that you like him also maybe thats why hes hesitating to ask you cause he wants to be certain and not heart broken

If you are already good friends with him, why not steer a conversation to talk about whether it's good for girls to ask guys out. You can tell him that you wouldnt be comfortable with doing that and that you think it would be great to be asked out by a guy. You can even make a few comments about how you'd only say yes if it was someone like him etc.
That way he will know that you wont ask him but that you like him.

wow...seems familiar. One day, just stop him. Ask him why. Why do he smile at you the way he do and give you so many nice things and yet won't ask you to go with him. Trust me...it works...they explain how shy they were and it'll turn into a long term relationship.

have a friend help you by them "accidentally" telling him .... or ask him who he likes, act as if you were just curious.... both of these worked when i tried them
but you know just telling him is the easiest, simplest, and works the most if he likes you as well
