Is going out of your dorm room to the restroom(in the college dorms) in a tight undershirt(show cleavage which you don't normally do) and jeans or go to talk to a guy about a class assignment because you can't find a girl? You like sleeping in undershirt and jeans because it helps you stay cool, Is that disrespectful to self?

I normally wear modest clothes but since it's the dorms I don't care I'm just in a hurry lol and I don't do it for attention or anything.

You're just doing what you want. Trust me, you'd feel it if you weren't acting like you normally do - everyone close to you would notice and ask lots of questions, out of concern though. Smile! :)

Are you remaining true to your values and ideals? Do you feel that showing cleavage in your own home is vulgar or immoral?...

As a 30-yr-old married woman, I respect myself, but at night, I'm ALL about comfort. In daytime, in public (even around my younger brothers), I try to stay modestly covered- yes, a bathrobe over undies is sufficient for early morning jaunts to the bathroom in my book! Yes, I sleep in my underwear, but the only person who sees it besides me is my husband.

I think you're just fine. You're not running around the dorm halls naked or in a bra and panties. You're being respectful of others by covering up. You're also respecting yourself by protecting your body from gawkers (although some may argue regarding the tight undershirt... I've seen worse!!). You're not using your body for attention, improved grades or other favors...

Maintain your integrity, have fun and enjoy college, and as Martha Washington once said, "The greater part of our happiness or misery depends on our disposition, and not our circumstances."

If it makes you feel uncomfortable, don't do it. If you feel that your clothing isn't modest, it probably isn't.

As for talking to a male classmate instead of a female one, that seems totally fine in my culture. If you include more information about where you live maybe we can give you more specific advice.

It doesn't sound like you're doing anything wrong or disrespectful.
