It all depends on your metabolism but, yeah, I've seen lots of people sweat when they eat spicy foods. In fact, my Dad used to insist that certain Mexican foods weren't "good" unless they made you break into a sweat!
Everybody's different. For example, jalapenos don't make me sweat but certain Oriental dishes can make me sweat.

Years ago, I was on a first date with someone and we went to a cajun restaurant. I ordered some chicken with noodles, thinking it was fairly safe. Well, I failed to see on the menu that it was one of their spicest dishes! I was sweating profusely while eating it. I didnt want to be rude and not eat a meal he was paying for, yet I was so embarrassed about having to wipe my forhead and upper lip every 2 minutes. Then we went to see Hunt for Red October, and I fell asleep!
Anyway, it is normal. But I’m sure some people are more sensitive than others.
And be sure and look at the menu very closely before ordering.

It is normal and you aren't the only one. My husband and I both sweat when eating spicy food.

it would make sense. a lot of times doing something that is different makes people sweat. just like hearing a scray story makes some people sweat, eating spicy foods makes others sweat. hope that helps!

Yes. The real issue is - is it normal for your nose to run when you eat spicy foods. Cause that's what happens to me. Try handling that one when you're on a date. Eek.
