13 years on the job tells me that you need some professional help. It he brown you want is lighter on the levels chart than the red you have you will have to strip the red. it will cause the light brown to be very warm and ruddy looking. Colr does not remove color so make no mistake, stripping will be involved. Good luck

it is possible but should be done professionally, i am a hairdresser going through the same thing.....I have red on my hair and wanting my natural light brown color back and mine isn't satisfactory even after stripping the red out and applying the brown.....Red is hard to keep in and hard to get out....go figure. PLease don't try to do this yourself.

a common wholesome head of hair grows some million/2" a month. do no longer pass in each and every 2 weeks. as quickly as a month or perhaps 6 weeks is adequate. in the previous she cuts your hair next time, tell her which you quite want a 0.5 inch cut back off, and much less, and have her prepare you what she thinks is a 0.5 inch. i know this sounds humorous yet all and sundry's theory of what a 0.5 inch could nicely be distinctive. Watch her as she cuts and in case you spot that she is going too short, provide up her and restate what you like. you ought to communicate. you're able to the two be getting too over excited in communique.

Yes, this is possible. Try using a semi permanent color so if you are not completely satisfied it will wash out and you can use another color in just a few days.

But do have it done professionally. Reds are unpredictable when coloring your own hair.
