How long a CHI lasts depends on how much you use it. I would say, with everyday use, it should last you at least 2 years. Maybe longer. They're very good flat irons!
I know you can buy them at JC Penney (near the hair salon part). You may also want to check around at your local salons. Many salons in your local mall should have them as well.

Chi is a professional line that is only sold in professional atmospheres, salons and profesional beauty supply stores. I am a stylist and I use mine quite frequently have had it almost 2 years and still works GREAT! As long as you take care of it, it would be very worth the investment.

About a year (assuming you straighten your hair nearly every day, which I do). Check Target, Walmart, and/or Sally Beauty Supply. (Got mine at Target)

I bought the HAI....I've had it for almost two year's and it still works as if I bought it yesterday.

it depends on u that how carefully u use it. you can get that in any mall.
