This guy is one of my very close friends and when I told him how I felt about him, he said he wasn't ready for a girlfriend and just wanted to focus on graduating. I totally respect that. But today I ask him if he wanted to go see a movie with me and he said yes. I was so excited. So I got there and he had brought his brother and one of my friends that was a female. She started holding his hand in the movie. I was a little uncomfortable with that so after the movie I asked her why. She said that he and her were going out. I felt as though my heart had been ripped out through my chest and thrown on the floor. I have been known to be suicidal when I get depressed, but this made me hit rock bottom. I am falling apart and I don't know what to do. I feel like I never want to talk to him again, but he is one of my best friends. How do I react to this guy?

Take time and talk to him about that night he hurt your feeling and ask why he could tell you before that he had a girlfriend.Plus if he didn't have the guts to tell you the truth who knows what kind of mate he really is to you and to his other mates. just start seeing other people and mates he's not the only mate you have

well,if you have feelings forhimand he doesnt feel the same then i think for your own emotional well being you should back off on the friendship al least until you stop reeling. you dont need toput yourself thru that torture.
a "friend" is someone who you feel awesome being around and he is more a love interest right now then a friend.
so,be nice but dont pretend like you can be buddies with this guy. do you want to hear about how his lovelife is with other girls? that's the kind of thing friends talk about right? no you dont.
hold your head up high. keep your dignity intact. spend time with OTHER friends and if you truely are feeling suicidal please call someone right away. thats no joke. i wont tell you that a guy isnt worth those feelings but if you are reeling out of control emotionally please get some help from a pro.Because when you meet that great guy who returns your loving feelings in the future, you will be happy that you got thru this.

This a polite and sensible way of telling you he is not interested in you as a woman, but as a friend. His bringing his brother, and holding hands with your friend, is meant for you to somehow connect with his brother, and he with your frined. You should be rather glad he is adopting this response. I've seen really bad situations Like guys telling girls straightly "I don't like you!" and stuff. You should respect his feelings, desist in fighting for him, and try to retain the frienship, even after this fracture.
Note he has offended you in no way, nor your friend, there is no reason you should be mad at either. Just resume usual relations, and delete the love affair from your memories, and everybody will be happy.

Life can be hard, dark and gutting sometimes.. but then things can turn around and be brilliant and fun and exciting. So it won't always be dark.
I know your probably feeling tender and hurt at the moment... but please stay calm. We can't always have what we want.... life can be a series of knocks.. but we learn from all experiences and they can be used to make us better people.
Good luck... take care... don't be too hard on your friend... it could be he wanted to spare you any hurt by not telling you he had a girlfriend, but wanting to keep you as a friend.

u cannot guide ur heart. Meaning dis guy had his priorities rite but luv is blind u can not guide the way u want. Same way for u too, if u luv him, dat does not mean he loves u or he is supposed to, n pls girls are always bitchy, giv dis guy sum time approach him n ask him if dat's the case, if he is best friend he wil tell u the truth, if he lies, then hunny its better he was not wid u, cos then he might b goin out wid others too.

well it kinda sounds like this guy might be trying to let you know in a subtle way that he just wants to be your friend and nothing else. which the question comes down to...can you handle just being his friend? if you can, that's great! if not, i would end the friendship and go your separate ways.
