What does it means when Virgin Mary appears to you?

It was December 24th, 06, Christmas eve and i was at a friend house and his mom had a call from her friend saying that while she was baking a cake for them Virgin Mary appeared on the cake. So we went to go and see and with my own eyes and everyone that was there believed that it was true, that VIrgin Mary did appeard. And im speechless till this day i just want to know why?

The brain has the tendency to pick out patterns from chaos.
Not to say that the Blessed Mother has not appeared (Fatima,Portugal; Lourdes, France), but the Blessed Mother comes with obvious messages.
I don't know if the Blessed Mother would appear on a tortilla or a cake and it sounds silly, but who am I to say she wouldn't (I am very skeptical). But all that aside, if you ARE a sincere poster, I think what matters most is what it has done for your faith and devotion to God. You DON'T have to know why; just live your life well for God, and detach yourself form needing to know why. The answer will come when you least expect it, if it is REAL.

Really, do you honestly think the virgin mary appeared on a cake?! I mean, it's a cake.
Now I'm not saying you didnt see something, but think twice about that actually being Mary ok.

enable me say this I actually have considered that previously in cloulds of smoke , regardless of the indisputable fact that it wasnt the the virgin mary and it wasnt weed smoke . this woman reported take my image of her with my digital camera at the same time as we were partying , and he or she reported after I blow the smoke out snap the image , so i did and he or she reported enable me see it , and then she reported seem at this it became a ideal image of bill clinton smiling , and that i reported WOWWWWW , and he or she reported take yet another one ,so i did , and that i appeared at it first and that i considered a image of between the teenage muatin ninga turtles donatelo.yet she couldnt see it . So the mind's eye is what takes over , itslike searching up interior the skys clouds , im particular u have dun it previously . yet seeing the virgin mary is an illustration at the same time as doing undesirable such issues as drugs ect.. she praying for her little ones. solid human beings do undesirable issues somtimes , so somebodys praying for them

I'm having a hard time believing your story. I certainly believe that Mary has appeared to people over time, but somehow, yours just doesn't sound likely. I could be wrong though. A little more detail would be nice.

The Blessed Mother appears to those who need Her help in believing. It is not a question of why but what do you do with your belief now? Take your belief out into the world, not to convert it, but to help those whom the Blessed Lady loves: the poor, the downtrodden, the sick and the lame.
